Premenopause Perimenopause Menopause and Yoga
I work mainly with women in their mid-30s and beyond. Who are experiencing hormonal, physical (back pain, joint pains etc.), period or nervous system changes - especially during perimenopause and menopause. Of course, also younger women can benefit, age is just a guideline.
Note: private lessons provide the knowledge and awareness of your own body- so later when you join group classes, you can practice safely, confidently.
Yes. This is individualized. The practice is adapted to your structure, spine, joints, hormonal stage, and nervous system state., with the focus on safe functional improvement rather than "performance. "
No, not required. We build stability, awareness, strength and flexibility together.
In most cases, yes. I use spine-focused methods and adapt the practice for your body.
Yes. Even women in their early 30s who have hormonal concerns, back pain, or chronic stress can benefit. Age is just a guideline - your individual needs are what matters most.
No. In the beginning for sure not. I need to see your whole body in person, watch your breathing and the reactions of your nervous system and muscles. If we have been practiced for longer time together, than time-to-time is possible.
We usually meet once or twice per week, depending on your needs and goals. At the beginning of each session, I ask a few questions and we talk about how you feel that day - physically and mentally. This helps me adapt the practice to your current state. The guided practice itself lasts about 60–80 minutes, followed by a short closing discussion. Please allow around 90 minutes total ,so the session can unfold without rushing.Â
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
The number of sessions always depends on your condition, your goals, and how your body responds.
• Some women come for only a few sessions - for example: to refine certain postures, to receive guidance after an injury to learn safe adaptations.
• Others work with me for a focused period, such as 3-4 months, for example when preparing for pregnancy or supporting hormonal balance.
• Some have been practicing with me for many many years as part of their long-term health support.
• Many women attend for a few months - until they develop enough body awareness and self-understanding to practice safely in group classes or continue confidently at home, without overexertion or injury. And comes back time to time, when have questions.
